Confirming Bankruptcy Information
Once the servicer determines that a borrower has filed bankruptcy, it must obtain confirmation and note in its bankruptcy tracking system all of the information shown in the following table.

Within two weeks of a borrower filing for bankruptcy, the servicer must check its records for the mortgage loan to determine whether a previous bankruptcy has been filed. See
