SMDU™ UI User Guide 7.38 September 2020 (Upload Case Document)

Upload Case Document 

This section provides instruction on how to upload a case document for a loan with an Active case in SMDU. 

NoteYou cannot upload a document if there is not an active case in SMDU. If there is not an active case, the link will be  disabled, as displayed below.

 

  1. Search for the loan by using the Fannie Mae 10-digit loan number.
  2. If the loan search is successful you will be brought to the Loan Landing page, which features the main actions banner and is comprised of a variety of sections, including the “Recent SMDU Evaluation History.

       C. Select the Upload Case Document link under the Other Actions section.

       D. The Upload Case Document page opens.   

    E. Select the Document Type from the dropdown.

F. Choose the file you would like to upload. Once selected, the document will upload to SMDU.

    1. Successful:  If the document is successfully uploaded to SMDU then you will receive the following message.  

  1.         2. Unsuccessful Document UploadIf the document is not successfully uploaded then you will receive a validation error message highlighted in red at the top of the page. 

                        Note: SMDU will only allow pdf documents to be uploaded.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

G. Case documents uploaded to Fannie Mae via the SMDU UI within the last two years will be displayed in the List of Uploaded Documents.

                    NoteDocuments uploaded  in HSSN will not be included in the document list in the SMDU UI.

              NoteThe Sent Date is the timestamp of when the uploaded document was sent to Fannie Mae (DARTS).
