How can a servicer activate a previous SMDU evaluation in the SMDU UI?

The Evaluation History icon in the top tool bar provides an overview of the loan’s SMDU evaluation history. You can also view and activate a previous SMDU evaluation, identify the SMDU platform for which the SMDU loan evaluation was conducted (SMDU UI or B2B), identify if the final structuring evaluation was a dependent final or First-Time Final, print the evaluation terms, request an Appeal or view the SMDU response XML.

To activate a previous evaluation, from the SMDU Evaluation History page select the "View" link for the applicable evaluation. An orange bar will appear across the top part of your screen with the applicable evaluation’s SMDU Unique Identifier and you have the option to either “Activate Evaluation” or “Exit Evaluation” by selecting applicable link.  You can view details of the evaluation without actually activating it (“Read Only” mode).  This mode lets you view the respective SMDU response as well as view the data inputs submitted for that evaluation (by clicking through the left-hand navigation bar).  However, in order to make any updates to applicable evaluation you MUST select the “Activate Evaluation” link. After you make changes you must resubmit the loan to SMDU for evaluation.

For additional information take the Evaluation History Overview eLearning module or refer to the "Navigating the SMDU UI" section of the SMDU UI User Guide.
