Continue at least monthly property inspections until the damage is remediated or the property is identified as vacant or occupied. Once the property is identified as vacant the servicer must follow the vacant property guidelines within this table.
The servicer must conclude the property is vacant if the borrower has advised as such. The servicer may also use a vacancy notice posting where law allows. The servicer must immediately secure the property once it concludes the property is vacant.
